Microsoft's announcement of the event lists some of the Microsoft big-wigs who will be speaking at the event, and one of the names featured is Xbox boss Phil Spencer. Many thought that this would mean that the Windows 10 event would include information on what the upgrade means for the Xbox One.
Over Twitter, though, Spencer himself noted that the conference will focus on Windows itself, and what the new operating system will mean for PC gaming.
Windows 10 is set to release sometime in the second half of 2015. The January 21 event will take place in Microsoft's home city of Redmond, though the company will be streaming it live to everyone who wants to see what Windows 10 has in store.
